Koldil bhaji (Banaflower with potato)

Ingredients

  • Koldil: 1 medium
  • Potato: 2 medium
  • Onion paste: 1 medium
  • Ginger paste: 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste: 1 tsp
  • Chopped green chillies: 1 tsp
  • Cardamom: 4
  • Cinnamon: 1 inch long
  • Clove: 2
  • Mustard oil: 3 tbsps
  • Bay leaves: 2
  • Paanch phuron: 1/2 level tsp
  • Pure ghee: 2 tsps
  • Turmeric powder: as required
  • Salt: as desired
  • Sugar: 1/2 tsp

Directions

    • Rub oil lightly to your hand to avoil strain before cutting the koldil.
    • Remove the outer layer of the koldil and take the hard and white inner layer.
    • Take water in a large bowl. Add turmeric powder and salt.
    • Finely chop the koldil and let it fall into the water.
    • Remove the threads of the koldil.
    • Mash the chopped koldil with your fingers and squeeze.
